A softer kind of statement

Zane turns a table lamp into a rounded glass object. Its generous upper shade and curved lower body meet at a narrow metallic band, giving the silhouette a distinct waist. The bulb and internal structure remain part of the composition through the smoked-grey glass.

Glass and silver-finished iron give it a restrained palette, while its 62 cm height brings real presence to a console or sideboard. We like the contrast between the almost capsule-like form and the fine horizontal line that divides it.

How we would style it

We would place Zane on a dark timber console or a pale stone sideboard, leaving space on either side so the outline stays clear. Burgundy velvet, tobacco leather or a warm neutral wall would be our choices to balance its cooler glass and metal.

For a quieter arrangement, we would add a small stack of books and one low ceramic bowl rather than another tall object. It could also work beside a generous armchair, provided the table has enough surface area for the lamp’s 42 cm overall width. These are our styling suggestions, not a prescription for the room.

Plan its place

Allow for the full width of the shade, not just the smaller base, and keep the glass clear of busy walkways. The cable is 150 cm long, so check the socket position before deciding where it will sit. The lamp takes one E27 bulb, up to 40 W; the bulb is not included. We would choose a warm-toned bulb whose appearance works with the transparent shade.
