A softer kind of statement

Tiffen brings together a broad, rounded back, a generous upholstered seat and four dark ash supports that remain deliberately visible. The neutral patterned fabric gives the chair movement, while the wenge-toned wood adds definition and keeps the silhouette from feeling too soft.

At 92 cm wide, it has real presence without the visual weight of a traditional club chair. Its low 72 cm height and open space beneath the arms make the composition feel relaxed and contemporary.

How we would style it

We would let Tiffen sit slightly away from the wall so its shape can be read from more than one angle. A quiet plaster wall, warm oak floor and one sculptural floor lamp would give the pattern room to work.

For a richer scheme, we would pair it with chocolate brown, tobacco or oxblood accents and a low table in smoked glass or dark timber. In a lighter room, travertine, bouclé and pale linen would keep the mood calm while the chair provides the character.

These are our styling suggestions. The neutral tones make Tiffen unusually adaptable, but we would avoid surrounding it with several other busy patterns.
